Mack’s NCAA Hoop’s Pool
Welcome to my NCAA pool. For those of you that are not familiar with me, this will be about the tenth time I’ve run this pool format. It is a pool where scores can change quickly and picking upsets can be rewarded.
This pool is unique in that there are two times to submit picks. First, you pick the first two rounds. Then sit back and enjoy some basketball. After the first weekend, you can access your place in the standings. Then combining the standings with the knowledge you gained from watching the first two rounds, you will pick the rest of the tournament.
First Two Rounds
We use CBS Sportsline for the first and second round of the tournament. You will need to pick all the games on CBS Sportsline in order to save your picks, but only the first two rounds will count toward this pool. The scoring in these rounds will be based on the winning team’s seed. So if you pick the 7th seed to win and they do, you will get seven points. In these rounds, you can be rewarded for picking upsets.

The rest of the pool will be run on my website. Next week, I will send you a file with the Sweet 16 in it. You will pick from the round of 16 through the Championship game and then return your picks to me. Then I will post the results on this site.
Make sure you have a current email address associated with your CBS Sportsline ID. Also, do not forget to submit your picks in the second round.
The scoring will have 40 points available in each of the last four rounds. There will be 5 points per game in the Sweet 16 round, 10 points per game in the elite eight, 20 points in the semi-finals and 40 points in the championship.
